Annualized Salary Range: $114,400 – $193,600, depending on type and experience.

Position Description: Today’s military planning processes cannot scale to support tomorrow’s complex operations against near-peer adversaries. Caliola’s Planning Products Team is developing tools that solve logistics and communications planning problems using machine learning, artificial intelligence, and combinatorial optimization. We seek a Product Director who can lead the evolution of these tools into a sustainable product vertical. 

Caliola’s Product Directors have external and internal responsibilities. They work with our customers to understand market needs and funding opportunities. They work with the user community and Caliola’s Chief Scientist to define the vision for the product line. They also work with the development team, managing and prioritizing their workflow. 

We are looking for teammates that share a passion for the creative application and development of wireless technologies to bring information more securely and promptly to warfighters and first responders. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Work with DoD customers and user community to set the vision for our automated planning products. 

  • Manage and prioritize the work of the Planning Products Team to meet customer requirements. 

  • Oversee development of all reporting deliverables to DoD customers. 

  • Participate in relevant trade shows and industry days to anticipate customer strategies and objectives. 

  • Work with Caliola’s Chief Scientist to capture new government and military business opportunities to complement and grow our automated planning products portfolio. 

  • Travel required to facilitate strong customer and user community engagement. 

Position Competencies: 

  • Practical understanding of product development and technology transition for DoD applications. 

  • Knowledge of conducting and directing competitive product analysis using market research techniques. 

  • Solid technical understanding of DoD planning campaign design processes and doctrine. 

  • Strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communications and relationship-building skills. 

Optional and Preferred Competencies:  

  • Demonstrated track record of DoD contract capture. 

  • Experience with Agile product development methodologies.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Active security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. 

  • 5+ years of experience with DoD planning campaign design processes and doctrine
