Annualized Salary Range: $100,000 – $170,000, depending on experience.

Position Description: OverKey® is a patent-pending Mesh VPN that we built to radically simplify the deployment of end-to-end encryption in zero-trust environments. We are currently optimizing and cyber-hardening OverKey for several Department of Defense (DoD) customers. Over the coming year, we will also be bringing OverKey to market in multiple commercial and industrial applications, including cloud infrastructure and the Internet of Things. We need a software engineer with deep C++ experience to support the design, development, and implementation of OverKey’s next generation of features. The ideal candidate has a passion for security and/or networking.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Work with the OverKey Product Director to design, prioritize, and implement OverKey® features.
  • Translate OverKey requirements into individual agile tasks (user stories).
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for OverKey.
  • Develop new OverKey features in C++.
  • Develop new OverKey interface capabilities in Python.

What We Require:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Three years of experience architecting, designing, and coding software products using C++.
  • Demonstrated understanding of network protocols (UDP, TCP).
  • Knowledgeable of software version control GIT and unit testing experience.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. In addition, applicants who accept a conditional offer of employment may be subject to government security investigation(s) and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information,

What We Value:

  • Experience with socket level programming.
  • Proficiency in low-level internals in one or more technology areas (Windows, Linux, Mobile, Network devices).
  • Deep understanding of several of: IPv4, IPv6, routing/bridging, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VLAN, Iptables, NAT, DHCP, ARP, DNS, HTTP, MQTT.
